Bounce Back Youth Service - West Cavan
Bounce Back Youth Service is a youth centred service delivered collaboratively by Youth Work Ireland Cavan Monaghan and the ISPCC. We operate on a voluntary participation basis, ensuring every young person is respected, valued, and supported. Our aim is to help young people with identified needs, or those experiencing challenges or adversity in their lives to reach their full potential in a safe and supportive environment.
We work with young people across West Cavan through one-to-one support, group work, outreach and detach youth work, helping them build resilience, confidence, and essential life skills. Through our wide range of programmes, we provide safe spaces for young people to socialise, try new things, and grow both socially and personally, while making sure their voices are always heard.
Where are we based:
Our primary centre is in Belturbet but we provide outreach and detached services in Ballyconnell and Swanlinbar.
Who we work with:
We support young people aged 10–24 in the Belturbet Ballyconnell & Swanlinbar areas and our sister service (Targeted Youth Employability) also covers Bawnboy.
Programmes
Bounce Back Youth Service offers a wide range of non formal educational and developmental programmes tailored to the needs and interests of young people. These include youth cafes, young men’s groups, young women’s groups, creative and art programmes, music, cooking, environmental programmes, sports, outdoor adventures, and interest based groups.
Our youth hub is really well equipped, with a full kitchen, a music recording studio, a PS5, VR headsets, a pool table, computers, iPads, loads of arts and crafts materials, games and loads more facilities that give young people a wide range of things to engage with.
We run targeted programmes designed to address specific needs. We provide opportunities for young people to take part in youth led projects, develop skills, and engage in wider initiatives, including European projects.

We also connect with young people in their own environments within the community through detached youth work, offering advice, support, information, and guidance while ensuring they are accessing the services or opportunities they need.
